The International Wine & Spirit Competition which promotes the excellence in wines, spirits and liqueurs has awarded with two bronze medals TerraGens IGT 2001 and Sangiovese Superiore 2001.
The competition, held in Great Britain, consists of a blind tasting and a chemical and micro-biological analysis, judged by a jury belonging to the wine-making world and also to the trade market. There were present, Philippine de Rothschild, Miguel Torres, Marquis Piero Antinori, Robert Drouhin, Robert Mondavi, May de Lencquesaing, Kenneth Graham and Sir Anthony Greener.
For each category have been awarder 3 wines, with a gold, a silver and a bronze medal.
TerraGens IGT 2001 has been appreciated for its deep dark nose offering black cherry, leather and iron rich earth. Its big intense mouthfeel, broad structured tannins, sweet blackcurrant fruit with cedar spice. It is great food wine and a very good style
TerraGens Doc Superiore 2001, has been appreciated for its bitter cherries on the nose with good ripe fruity palate. Its leather and cedar give complexity and the tannins are slightly dry on the finish. |
