The International Wine & Spirit Competition which promotes the excellence in wines, spirits and liqueurs has awarded TerraGens with two medals, bronze for Riserva 2001 and silver for Superiore 2003.
The competition, held in Great Britain, consists of a blind tasting and a chemical and micro-biological analysis, judged by a jury belonging to the wine-making world and also to the trade market. There were present, Philippine de Rothschild, Miguel Torres, Marquis Piero Antinori, Robert Drouhin, Robert Mondavi, May de Lencquesaing, Kenneth Graham and Sir Anthony Greener.
Superiore 2003 has been appreciated for its berry fruits and ripe plum on the nose with some sweet spicy notes. Same characters in the mouth with distinct summer fruit flavours. Well balanced with light tannic structure. Long, clean, youthful finish.
